1. About Sakinah

Sakinah is an AI companion that offers general guidance from an Islamic perspective, drawing on the Qur’an, classical tafsir and authentic hadith. It is operated by Ahmad K.

2. What Sakinah is not

Sakinah is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, doctor, lawyer or mufti. It does not diagnose, treat, give fatwas or give legal advice. The “Legal note” in some replies is general information about your country’s rules, not legal advice, and laws change. AI can make mistakes, including in religious references. Please verify important references and consult a qualified scholar or professional for serious matters.

3. Emergencies

Sakinah is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself or others, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately.

4. Your use of the app

You agree to use Sakinah lawfully and for yourself, not to attempt to disrupt or misuse it, and not to use it to generate content that harms others. We may limit or suspend use that abuses the service.

5. Subscriptions

Apple’s standard terms also apply: Apple Standard EULA.

6. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on its guidance. [Lawyer: add limitation of liability and consumer-law carve-outs for your jurisdictions.]

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will change the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
